Dear Terry,

Did you know that some of the most widely used websites like Google, Facebook, and Yelp have teamed up with the extreme right-wing group ALEC (the American Legislative Exchange Council)?(1) ALEC -- the same group behind ultra-conservative legislation like the controversial "Stand Your Ground" gun laws, discriminatory Voter I.D. laws -- has been running shameless campaign to undermine the Affordable Care Act.

Demand that Google, Facebook, and Yelp have the courage to cut their ties with ALEC immediately!

ALEC is attempting to destroy Obamacare by promoting legislation that would make it illegal for health insurance companies to do business in the new healthcare exchanges -- completely undermining one of the key foundations of the lifesaving, landmark law.(2) In addition, ALEC is planning legislative attacks on Medicare, unions, public employee pensions and wages, as well as an assault on public education through a voucher program.(3)

In recent years, a flood of major corporations previously associated with ALEC have abandoned the right-wing group due to their extremist agenda, including Wal-Mart, Kraft, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, McDonalds, and Amazon.(4) So why then did these three global business leaders -- Google, Facebook and Yelp -- decide to join ALEC while so many others were courageous enough to jump ship?

Tell Google, Facebook, and Yelp to follow the example of fellow corporations and revoke their partnership with the anti-Obamacare group ALEC.
